It was 9pm on a Saturday night when I returned home from work to find my reef tank had very misty water. Because I have a maintenance contract with Ocean Life I was able to call their ‘out of hours’ engineer by phone. After 5 minutes they had diagnosed the cause of the misty water to actually be anemone breeding behaviour. I was thrilled that my anemones were breeding but also worried as to what affect this would have on my other livestock. They advised me that it was nothing to worry about but that I would need to make some small alterations to the filtration equipment, this was done whilst they were still on the phone so they could talk me through it.
The next morning I came downstairs to find that the tanks water was now crystal clear once again and that all my fish were in perfect condition. I received a call from the same engineer at 10am the same morning to check that all was well with the tank and to adjust the equipment back to its normal setting.
A big thanks to Mark and his company who always provides impeccable customer service!Private client, London UK

New Aquarium and Re-location Service
Hi all,
Just a quick post to show off a recent completed reef aquarium installation. We first met this client in November 2012. They had had a reef tank which had run with alot of success for many years. However recently the tank had started to suffer from algae problems and the corals had started to decline.
The aquarium setup used external canister filters which had started to leak as well as a rather undersized ‘hang on’ protein skimmer.
After advising the client of the options he could take it was decided that the tank should be replaced with one of our brand new custom reef aquariums. The old tank would be converted to a fish only system and moved upstairs into a childrens bedroom.
Here you can see the old tank ready for stripping down.

The Colourful Reef Aquarium in Preston
Hi All,
Our latest complete project came from an enquiry from a client who had always wanted a large colourful marine aquarium. The brief was to build a reef system capable of keeping a large number of soft and hard corals as well as many reef fish. The system was to be as automated as possible and thus easy to maintain. Because the client only had experience with a previous freshwater aquarium and worked away quite often, we would provide aquarium maintenance the tank via 3 visits per month.
As you can see, the end result is stunning!

Here’s a couple of photos of a mock up we produced for a new client. This freshwater aquarium will be located in a London based office to provide a great feature and improve the working environment.
This aquarium installation will contain Redmoor root wood, Gobi rock and minimal planting to give a clean looking display.
This client chose to take our aquarium maintenance service option so that the tank will always look clean and remain healthy. This annual maintenance contract will ensure the tank is visited every 4 weeks for cleaning, water change and testing. We also provide all fish food, plant supplements and telephone support if required.
